About the salon values and who we are.

Hello and welcome to The Orange Door Salon. If you haven't been in the salon yet and are wondering about who we are please feel free to take a look around!

We are located in University Place WA in the Prestige Center in a very unique building that resembles architecture from Leavenworth, WA a small Bavarian themed town. We are right next to the iconic Pine Cone Cafe, one of the last true old school diners around!

I strive to welcome all! We are LGBTQ+ inclusive and back those values with trainings from The Rainbow Center in Tacoma. I chose not to genderize my haircuts since hair is hair no matter the gender of the person. Please choose your cut by the time and style desired needed. Please note many styles need an hour and the blow dry so I can fine tune my haircuts after I finish the dry.

I specialize in hair care for people with sensory needs and neurodiversity. If you struggle with sensory issues around the hair and itching please don’t hesitate to let me know as I have a special silicone neck wrap to alleviate that. I also specializes in real life hair, the hair you want that you will actually be able to do!

I really focus on making all comfortable that I can. If you have any special requests do not hesitate to let me know.

Jessica Soper is the only one I trust to cut my hair! Seriously, I live in Seattle and insist on seeing her anytime my hair needs cut. She does exactly what I ask and doesn’t try to argue with me like others have done in the past. She is funny and smart so each haircut is a very good time. If you haven’t used her before...GIVE HER A TRY!!!!

I trust Jessica completely. She knows my hair and what works with it. She helped me transition my hair post-chemo to make each stage of the grow-out awesome. She is an amazing colorist and stylist too!

I have been seeing Jessica for 3 years and her work is consistently awesome. She takes the time to evaluate your needs and desires. Jessica is a total hair magician with intuitive hands. Totally recommend and well worth it!
